Michael Julian Gaven is a charming, versatile performer, specializing in stage acting, but also pursuing solo music and screen acting. His main inspiration is his mother, Tony-nominated actress Marcia Mitzman Gaven, and his passion for performing came from her taking him to see Broadway shows every summer. He made his theater debut as Enjolras in Les Misérables and has portrayed a wide variety of characters such as Clifford Bradshaw in Cabaret, Daddy Cane in Bright Star, Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Big Deal in West Side Story. He was most recently seen in the Eklund Opera’s 2022 production of Guys and Dolls as Nathan Detroit. He is also a proud alumnus of Stagedoor Manor Theatre Camp in New York, having performed in its premier show group, the Our Time Cabaret. Michael is currently preparing to graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in musical theater and cannot wait to break out into the real world as a professional!
